What’s Going On With the RTX 5070 Ti?
From what’s being reported, the main issue isn’t performance or demand — it’s memory supply.
Higher-end RTX 50-series cards rely on larger VRAM configurations, and that’s where things get complicated. Ongoing shortages and rising costs related to GPU memory have made 16GB models more difficult to sustain, especially when manufacturers are forced to prioritize where that memory goes.
As a result, ASUS appears to have paused production of the RTX 5070 Ti, likely to manage resources more efficiently across its lineup.

Interestingly, at the same time these reports surfaced, there were also mentions of an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB model expected to follow.
If this turns out to be accurate, it would suggest NVIDIA and its partners are rebalancing the product stack, possibly shifting higher VRAM capacity into a lower tier to improve accessibility while controlling costs. A 16GB RTX 5060 Ti would be especially appealing for gamers looking for better longevity, modern game support, and content creation workloads.
That said, there’s still no official launch date or full confirmation on this model yet.
ASUS Responds to the Rumors
Following the growing speculation, ASUS clarified that the RTX 5070 Ti has not been officially discontinued or declared end-of-life.
According to the company, current availability issues are tied to temporary supply chain fluctuations, not a permanent cancellation. ASUS also stated that it continues to support existing RTX 50-series products, leaving the door open for potential restocks if conditions improve.
